Coloring Eggs

Getting everything ready
Isabella getting her first egg to dye.

Emberli got to sit by and watch, but as you can see, I don't really think she noticed she wasn't getting to do the fun stuff.

Waiting patiently

Finished eggs

I just loved this picture, because Emberli is up on the balcony while the bigger kids were down in the yard playing on the swings. You can just see the fact that she wants to be down there where the big kids are, too.
We went and colored eggs for the first time at Isabella's friends house. I don't even remember coloring eggs, but I have been told that I did. However, we had fun...Isabella got to paint eggs and so did I. I believe this will be a new tradition for us.

Robert's Birthday

Emberli enjoyed the cake....maybe a little tooo much!

Ok, yes, I did make Robert a Spiderman cake for his birthday. There is a story behind that. One night Isabella and I were in the car and she spoke up and said, "Hey mom, you know what kind of cake daddy wants for his birthday?" So I asked what kind, and she responded, "A chocolate cake with Spiderman." So after my shock and giggles wore off, I said, "Did he tell you that is what he wanted" and she said, "No, that is a boy cake and daddy is a boy, so he wants it." So, that is what he got. If you ask him what he got for his birthday, he would probably laugh. Isabella yet again wanted to shop for her daddy herself for his present. So, needless to say, he got toys! She picked out hotwheels with Dora and Diego on them and foam swords. I guess you can probably guess who really benefitted from those presents. But, I think he had fun.

Gymnastics

Robert's day off happened to be on Isabella's gymnastics day last week, so he got to come watch. Well, I took full advantage and told him to bring the camera and take pictures. She is improving so much! She absolutely loves gymnastics and practices all the time at the house. (For those wondering, I don't make her, she just does it.)

New pics!

My friend Kellie was nice enough to fit us in one day and take pics of the girls for me. My goal was to get at least one picture of the girls together actually looking at the camera at the same time...I would say she achieved that goal and gave me so much more! Emberli is a runner, so we had to keep putting her back in her spot. But, we had fun though.

Ready to ride

The girls like to ride in the stroller. It is nice when we have good weather around here. Living in Texas you just never know what you are going to get. Lately, the mornings are in the 30s and days in the 70-80s. Totally nuts!
